Haplogroup E-V38 (E1b1a) - Originally thought to be West African specific. Recently an influx of people, who identify themselves as Caucasian, are showing up with this haplogroup. This theory was eventually proven fact when the Pharaoh Ramses/ Ramesses III was determined to be E1b1a. Ramses’ father, Userkhaure-setepenre Setnakhte (or Setnakht) was the first king of the 20th dynasty and a ...
Haplogroup B is believed to have arisen in Asia some 50,000 years before present. Its ancestral haplogroup was haplogroup R. The greatest variety of haplogroup B is in China. It is therefore likely that it underwent its earliest diversification in mainland East or South East Asia.
Her date of birth and death is uncertain at the moment, and she possibly lived in Somogy County in Hungary. My main interest is ancient origins, and genealogy but I hit the brick wall on this line. One of my ancient match with the exact same haplogroup is an Iberian / Piedmont (580 AD) sample id CL94, culture Late Roman. Best wow private server 2019Jun 02, 2008 · mtDNA Haplogroup K Project. Progress Report at 1000 Members. June 2, 2008 . The mtDNA Haplogroup K Project at FamilyTreeDNA reached a major milestone on June 2, 2008, with 1000 members 29 months after its founding. 979 of the members are shown on the mtDNA Results tab on the K Project website.
The Bronze Age (BA) of Eurasia (c. 3,000-1,000 years BC, 3-1 ka BC) was a period of major cultural changes. Earlier hunter-gathering and farming cultures in Europe and Asia were replaced by cultures associated with completely new perceptions and technologies inspired by early urban civilization.
The frequency of haplogroup K seems to correlate with that of haplogroup R1b in Europe (although not in the Near East and North Africa). It has been proven by ancient DNA that hg K arrived in Europe during the Neolithic and Chalcolithic, and was apparently more prevalent back then than today.
Hello homosapien. Per 23andme I am haplogroup K1b1a (K1b1a1 is what they said on my son's at 23andme with the newer version). I often get trace to up to 5% or so West Asian/Turkish/Iranian readings - though none on 23andme except a point one percent non specific East Asian/Native American --- they did say somewhere my maternal line has "ancient ties" to West Asia/Iran. Haplogroup K makes up a sizeable fraction of European and West Asian mtDNA lineages. It is now known it is actually a subclade of haplogroup U8b'K, and is believed to have first arisen in northeastern Italy. Haplogroup UK shows some evidence of being highly protective against AIDS progression. Subclades of K. K (mtDNA) K1 (mtDNA) K1a (mtDNA) A haplogroup is a group of single chromosomes, or single DNA strands, which share a common ancestor. They have the same mutation in all versions. Haplogroups show deep ancestral origins dating back thousands of years. In human genetics, the haplogroups usually studied are Y-chromosome (Y-DNA) haplogroups and mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA ... Just discovered that my mt-DNA haplogroup is N1b1, which is supposedly very rare in Europe and of Jewish origin. This came as a surprise for me as I thought my maternal lineage was predominantly Dutch. Haplogroup E1b1a- V38 Project - Y-DNA Classic Chart. For genealogy within the most recent fifteen generations, STR markers help define paternal lineages. Y-DNA STR markers change (mutate) often enough that most men who share the same STR results also share a recent paternal lineage.
Strikingly, the array of Y-chromosome haplotypes in ancient Iberia shifts from those typical of Neolithic populations to haplogroup R1b-M269 in each of the three BA males, of which two carry the derived allele at marker R1b-P312. Interestingly, modern Basque populations have the M269 variant at high frequency (87.1%) .
According to the genetic analyses done on six Natufian remains from Northern Israel, the Natufians carried the Y-DNA haplogroup E-Z830, a slightly upwind clade of E-M123 (and therefore ancestral to it). .

Below are the mt-SNP calls for Afontova Gora 2. Positive calls are in bold, and negative calls are in non-bold. The calls are consistent with the result that had at one time been disclosed by YFull that Afontova Gora 2 belonged to mitochondrial paragroup R*. This phylogenetic tree of haplogroup L1 subclades is based on the paper by Mannis van Oven and Manfred Kayser Updated comprehensive phylogenetic tree of global human mitochondrial DNA variation [PMID 18853457] and subsequent published research.
